Employment vacancies are published in the Beauregard Daily News, and on the Beauregard Parish School Board website. Any employee interested in an available position may apply for a transfer as per BPSB Policy GBM: Personnel Transfer.

 

Please remember, the Director of Personnel and principals must be extremely aggressive when filling available positions and interviews are conducted continually in anticipation of future openings. Principals are fully aware of their school needs and maintain a list of these prospective applicants to consider for future positions. Keeping this in mind, individuals interested in transfers are encouraged to visit with principals prior to availability of any position.

Director of Curriculum: The applicant must hold a valid Type A or Level 3 Louisiana teaching certificate with certification as city or parish Instructional Supervisor and/or appropriate Educational Leadership endorsement, as prescribed by Louisiana State Department of Education Bulletin 746.


The applicant must have had 5 years of successful professional school experience, 3 years of which must have been during the 5 year period immediately preceding appointment to the supervisory position. The applicant must hold a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution including 12 semester hours of professional education at the graduate level, 9 hours of which shall include courses in Supervision, Curriculum and Instruction, and 3 hours in School Administration.

Secretary - Finance Department: 12-Month

Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of related experience. (One year of appropriate post-secondary training may be substituted for one year of experience.) Must demonstrate the ability to perform secretarial, clerical, and general bookkeeping tasks, and possess knowledge of the principles and procedures of accounting. Must have specific skills in necessary office machines and computer software programs, i.e., typewriter, calculator, word processing, (e.g. Word Perfect, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.)
